It's 3:02 AM here in blustery Chicago, and I just drove my YJ for the first time in 2 months, now with a scout dana 44 rear end and a T-150/Dana 20 Trans/tcase combo. Those took the place of my BA10/5 & NP case, and my trusty old dana 35 rearend.

It's about 25 degrees, when I put it in the garage it was about 80 everyday, so I hadn't bothered to put the soft top up or anything. I didn't really care, i zipped it down to the convenience store for a test run. I'm just happy that all of this is done! All I've got is fabbing up a new trans hump cover & a few other little miscellaneous jobs.

Thanks to everyone on this board who's helped me with my install....I've asked far too many questions. I'll snap some pics tommorow when it's light outside so everyone can see.

Up next, the front 44! I'm not about to have a 2wd jeep when it starts snowin!

One last question - my t-150 is pretty noisy....is this a noisy trans by nature? i suppose all older 3 speeds are, right? i mean, it's not horrendous to listen to, but it's noisier than my BA. Thanks!

The noise is more likely comming from the Dana 20, you have switched from a chain drive xfer case to a gear drive.

While you are at it.....there is an easy way of twin sticking a Dana 20 or even just removing the shift interlock pill and getting 2wd low
Especially since the T150 has a tall first gear.
