I have a 91 LT250RM, and a 93 250RM. When I bought the 91 LT I was always told to let it idle to let the cylinder warm up so I don't crack the cylinder, but when I bought the 93 I was never told this and was actually told not to let it idle so it won't foul the plug. My question is what is the difference with either motor.

it depends on the work on the machine ie: pistons wiseco pistons need to be warmed up as the r forged not cast and what happens is that if u don't let it warm up it will cold seize that means that the piston warms up faster then the cyclinder and seizes up if they r not aftermarket pistons then i don't see what could happen i notice with my quad when the compression goes down the bike runs like crap intil it warms up the piston expands in the cyclinder and the compression goes up
