Ok, got the 6 crossmembers in this morning that I could do before the engine and tranny and all is in there. And thats the camaro that I pulled the engine out of yesterday, good thing I didn't wait till today, it's been raining the whole time.

Gonna go out and build the 3rd jig now to hold the frame a few feet in the air and hold the axles in place under it.

It had a 327, I am rebuilding it and boring it .060 over. The triangular pieces are the 4 link mounts, kinda like a monster truck has. I wanted the links as level as possible. I'm done for the night! I got the frame up on the new jig and got the rear axle rigged up, didn't have time to do the front/wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif.

Well, lets see... I'm ordering the rod ends needed for the suspension tomorrow from avalanche. They will be here by next weekend. Next sunday I will get the front axle positioned. And during the week I'm hoping to be able to buy some 3/8" and 1/4" plate for the 4 link brackets. So hopefully I should get at least the rear axle prepped with brackets and the frame brackets welded on. If all goes well and quick I should get the front axle brackets on too. Hmm, wish I had a plasma cutter/wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif. Ok, so if that goes as planned, then I should be able to fab the links the following weekend if the metal yard has the tubing I need in stock. I'm gonna check next week when I pick up the plate and see. So, if that all goes well, I should be ready for wheels and tires after that, problem is the plate, the link tubing, and the rod ends pretty much breaks the bank for now. But hopefully the two houses we are working on will sell soon and I'll get enough cash for the boggers/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif. Unless anyone wants to donate?/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif As soon as I get the tires and wheels I can put the body on. The jig I made can't handle the wait of the body. Well... Maybe... Nah. Estimate by me would be about 1 month. I'm gonna set the body on with 1/2" plywood on top of the frame rails while I fab the body mounts so I can have a 1/2" space between the body and the frame. I'm just gonna put pieces of tubing with some cheap rod ends in place of the shocks for now. So I can have a rolling chassis. Oh yeah, I got the frame on the jig tonight and it's at ride height. OH MY GOD THIS THING IS HUGE!!! Right now it's a 50" step into the cab! Gee Wiz.

hmm, is that going to be a driveway project in a bit? Alittle too tall for the garage. sounds like we should see the fruits of your labor pretty darn soon then. I am glad someone around here is getting to accomplish their goals.

Lol, it will acutally fit in the garage with the tires on/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif, just not out the door. I built the garage with 10 foot ceilings for this one reason! But the door is 8 foot. So, I'm going to go to the junkyard and pickup some stock 8 lug wheels and tires off a junk truck. HEY! wait a minute! Why can't I use those tires and wheels to get a rolling chassis to put the body on? YAY! I really just thought of that! Ok, maybe a rolling chassis with body in 3 weeks!
