Ok,I know this is gonna' sound silly, but..... how the heck do I get the dang knob off the stick-shift?!?!? It's on my '95, and as much as I pull and twist, it won't budge. Is the top of the stick threaded, or is the knob just pressed on? Maybe I have to put the stick in a vice so I can pull hard enough? Dunno. All the ones that I have messed with have been threaded on. Some have a jam nut up against the bottom of the knob, and some don't. You may need to grab it with a strap wrench or something like that to get it off. Since I have not done any work on the newer trucks, I can't be really specific, but I hope that helps.
