I believe the 2 row was stock and a 3 row an option. I had a 3 row in my 86 CJ7 and I still wanted more reserve cooling so I had a
radiator shop make me a custom 4 row. Only cost $229. I can now run it as hard as I want at air temps over 100 deg. with no pro-
blems. It sits between 195 and 200, right where the thermostat opens.
Steve, it really does get over 100 deg. in San Diego anytime between July and September. All you have to do is go about 15 miles
inland from the ocean. Those inland valleys can really cook. Typical day has 80 deg. at the beach and 15 miles inland it's the low 100's.
yea gary i just forgot. i was born in chula vista in 54. lived in garden grove and la mirada. lived in death valley for 6 years and then ridgecrest. desert rat for life. now in tucson! san diego is great especially against the coast!
