It would probably work, but the DW (death wobble) with these Cherokees is horrible w/o extended Lowers. If you go higher than 4" check out some rear control arms out of a Ford Aerostar (I have some out of a '90), they are 3" longer than stock and wouldn't need much work to get them in.

Most of the cheap lift kits (3") do not come with them and supposedlly don't need them.
