I've seen steering columns used from AMC Hornets and Matadors. Plus some of the fellows in the forum use GM columns as well.

The steering column in my 72 had the pedals integrated into it. If yours is that way then I think you're SOL as far as a bolt in. I like the tilt columns used in YJ Wranglers but anything will work if you're crafty. Full size Jeep or Scout 2 pedal assemblies can be swapped in with minimal fuss. Best of luck.

Unfortunately there is no bolt it column for a '73 other than another CJ column. You can use a GM type column but some fabrication will be required. It might be easier to rebuild your existing column with new bearings.
