I am in the process of starting a Jeep Club in the Western PA area the "HERITAGE REGION JEEP ALLIANCE". I contacted the United Four Wheel Drive Associations. They sent me a nice packet of information, including the very informative "How to start a 4wd club". I also contacted Duquense University (in Pittsburgh), which has a free legal clinic for starting a non-profit organization in Pennsylvania. A College or University around you may do the same, PA state put me on the Duquense, maybe Ohio would do the same. By the way, Butler, PA is the birthplace of the jeep (hence the Heritage in the Heritage Region Jeep Alliance), and there was NO jeep club in this area. I was inspired to start this club after meeting an owner of one of the original BRC-40 Bantam Jeeps. We are having our first event on May 18th at 7:00 PM, a Jeep Rally/Cruise at the Brewster's Ice Cream and adjacent lot, Bob, (the owner of the Bantam, who is part of starting the club), will be there with his Bantam Jeep. I have started a website (free from treeway.com) it is at http://my.treeway.com/hrja I am actually moving this site in the next few days to www.in2jeeps.com, but it is not up yet. The website is still not done completely, but I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures & more info. after the May 18th rally. If anyone has any questions, please e-mail me at [email protected]. EVERY JEEP OWNER & ENTHUSIEST IS WELCOME!!

Good luck with your club, I'm really psyched about ours!

I'm gonna start the word about a club to some more friends. The more the people the more the power. One buddy was over tonight and another (with a big landcruiser) stopped after work to check out my 7 and they where both into a short WB club. BTW the carb puked on the way home /wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif. But I hope I can get it up and in top shape in a day or two. Call me when you want to get dirty in the "squeaky" jeep./wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif Or if you get bored I'll run up an check your jeep out.
