its a 85 auto with od the problem is when it warms up it wants to cut out about 35 40mph any ideas?

Can you "pull codes" on your rig?
EFI, or, carbed?
I'd start by checking the little things.
Like:
Fuel pressure
Clogged fuel filter
Plug wires
Plugs
Distributor cap
Rotor
Coil
Ignition Control Module (not such a little thing)
