sqeaking/brushing noise

312 Views 5 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  dennisuello
I've had this little sqeak (sorta sounds like worn u-joint) that developed since I installed SYE and rear driveshaft. I just greased the rear u-joint (since i disassembled it while installing and figured it might need want grease), but the noise is still there.
It seems to go away after 15-20 minutes of driving, but after jeep sitting for a day or two, it's again there.
I will have to check the u-joint again (maybe take it apart tpo make sure it's all put together correctly), but what else could be causing it?

I had a squeaking noise in my Cjj once that turned out to be the ubolts loosening up. Check those when your under there
greasing the driveshaft.
