I would gess by the lac of responses that no has any any comments. OK then how about this! has anyone got a close up pic of what a normal spring pack on a 90yj looks like. I've looked at a few local stock jeeps that I find parked at the side of the road and there packs look much stronger, not so flimsy looking. anycomments?

It should be apparent if the springs have worn into themselves any. 1990 was also the last year of the Heavy Duty option. The stock YJ had 4 leaves in the front and 5 in the rear, with the heavy (or hard top) rear springs having 6 leaves. YJ springs are naturally flat, or maybe have a slight invert to them, which is one of the reasons they flex so well.

It is possible someone lowered your YJ, but look for other signs, like smaller rims, wide tires, locating/stabilizing arms that have a negative pitch to them, a swaybar that looks the same way. Do you have anything like that? They may just be worn out after years of use.

How much do you want for them? I'll bet they flex like mad.

My jeep came from the dealer with the soft top but I think its just the stock packs. I'm thinking I might just go down to the junk yard and replace the front two packs. then save some money up and look into and after market spring pack lift kit, maybe the 3 1/2" would be nice:) or maybe a soa.
