well people it that time again the holidays are upon us that only means one thing (THE SPRING BASH IS ALLMOST HERE) well allmost.Held at the BAD LANDS in Attica Indiana.That means we need to know who wants to attend and for those who were there last year and the year before should we still camp at steamcorner or somers campground? allso the first weekend is 04-30-04 through 05-02-04 me(pat) and (JEFF)reogrand. are checking to see what it will coast for teeshirts and dash plaques.if you have any in put please feel free to sugggest it And allso we need some donations for the door prizesand i am allso looking for some one to handle the awards that includes making them.last year the awards were a lot of fun ask enyone that was there we need all the help we can get to make this year a great trail ride for all

Man, I just can't wait!!!
I wasn't there last spring, but we stayed at Summers this fall it was really nice. But, I have nothing to compare it to up there.
I'll check on T-shirt pricing this week. Has there been any discussion yet on a design? I'll need some sort of idea to give them, as well as a rough quantity, to get a reasonable idea on prices. They were kinda high for the fall run, but that was for a very small quantity. Hopefully, I can get a better deal for the spring bash.
Anyway, I just had to chime in when I saw this thread. I've been looking forward to it since returning from the Fall run. Jeff already said I'd be nominated for some grunt work, so bring it on. Anything to help pass the time between now and then.
Is the weekend you mentioned the officially chosen one, or just a preliminary suggestion?

It's typically at the BADLANDS Off-Road park in Attica, Indiana.
I assume it's gonna be there again this year.

About time you posted here about this Pat.
If you guys haven't figured out by his post, He and Jeff (rio grande) will be organising it this year. Both have been there from the first one and know what goes on. Andy is kinda busy in college and after 2 years for me too...... it was time for some new blood running the show.

So lets get an initial "who's going". And they need people to help out with items to do for the run. (it's A LOT OF WORK)

jbtator... I will try to get some artwork at some point done.

And yes my ugly mug will be there again.

I can't wait. The bash has been an absolute blast. I think pat and Jeff will do a kick @ss job this year with the bash. I'll try to help out in any way possible. I'm not sure what my finals schedule will look like next semester but there's a good chance i will bust down from the Upper Penninsula of Michigan to the bash in 1 day (probably about a 10-12 hour tow). Don't hesatate to drive a long distance there. We had a couple people drive out from the east cast or down south.

For those of you that are newer to the board here's the "story" of how the badlands bash came to be. One day were talking in pal talk about a post on the bbs about a run for everybody on the bbs. Dirt dog said it comes up every year and nobody ever grabs the bull by the horns and does anything with it. Well one thing led to antoher (no not that way) a couple of us off the bbs started to organize it and the bash came alive. This comming bash will be the 3rd bash and i hope more happen in the future. There's no reason there can't be more bbs runs at attica or other parts of the country though this run has become a tradition.

I agree with Greg. Do it a few weekends later or earlier this year...later being my preference. I don't want to make the trip the weekend before finals again. I did it last year but it wasn't the smartest thing I could have done.

I had a blast and am definately looking forward to it. So count me in again.

Graduation is overrated. Just do like I did, tell your mom that you will be in the third row wearing a gown and funny looking hat. She'll never know the difference...

I had a great time at the fall ride and would love to attend the spring ride. I also liked Summers campground but don't have any other reference points. You can also put me on the list of "volunteers". Just let me know what I can do to help.

See my post above. It's been that weekend both years and people start planning for it in advance and already have gotten time off of work. Come for a day or 2 then if you have to gradumadate. Depending on how my finals schedule is i'll be down thursday night and wheeling all day friday. usually it goes people start rolling in thursday night, get to the badlands around 10 or so friday, wheel all day as people roll in, Head to the badlands before it opens sautrday, wheel all day, have awards and a big pot luck saturday night, wehel about 1/2 a day on sunday.
