I have a 258 with a sock exhaust manifold and it has some kind of a heat valve that opens after warming up...problem is it is real stiff and only moves freely after I shoot it with something slick. does anyone know of a good high temp lube that I can put on this valve so that I dont have to spray it almost everyday?

Jeep used to sell "Heat Valve Lube" in a spray can that worked excellently. Mopar changed the name to "Rust penetrant" or something close to that. It is the best stuff made for freeing rusty bolts and heat valves. I believe GM makes/sells the same type of stuff. Hope this helps.
