I hope the members of System of a Down realise just how lucky they are to have the freedoms that guarantee them those freedom of speech rights they enjoy utilizing. Too bad the message (with the exception of the cartoon bomb riders) is one sided propaganda. Did you notice most of the protesters looked like loosers? I wonder if any of them gave this terrible situation any critical thought. No one likes war, no one wants war. Watch the news, look at the WMD indications: Chemical factories, SCUDS, gas masks and atropine. I'm not mathmatician, but that [bleep] don't add up to me.....

that video was a total waste of my time, and i was one of the guys that went off to fight for you freedom,so non sense
such as that can be said, sang, yelled, shouted, written, and expressed, in any other way imaginable without fear of retaliation from our goverment. do you think the citizens of iraq could get away with that? or should i say the subjects of iraq! no they would be beaten, tortured, and killed pubicly, just to be made an example of to anyone else who chooses to express there opinion against the

Best to keep it to yourself, or post this stuff on some anti-war message board where you'll get the response that you are looking for!

I have a niece in Air Force inteligence and nephew in the Army Green Beret over in the Gulf right now. Without a doubt I support our troops.
However, I do not support our governement's policy in the Middle East. There are oppressed people all over the world. The one big difference is that those countries do not have oil.
I am sure that every soldier, sailer, airman and marine have very noble reasons for being in the Gulf. But, don't kid yourself. As far as government policy is concerned, this war is about oil and not liberating the people of Iraq. Liberating an oppressed people is just a easier sell than greed.
I doesn't make sense to me that people here in the US are verbally attacked for exercising the very same rights that the attackers say they would risk their lives to preserve.

Please explain to me how you can accept "pre-emptive strike" in our foreign affairs conduct but don't accept it in our domestic conduct. Should I take out my neighbor because I know he has weapons and may use them on me. Or perhaps he should be justified in taking me out because I too have weapons that could be used on him. Pre-emptive strike behavior is not acceptable here at home and in most cases would be illegal. I think pre-emptive strike should not be acceptable in our foreign affairs policy.

Farther, my friend remember history. It is NOT a pre-emptive strike. We along with the Iraqi regime signed a cease fire agreement in 1991. They are not obeying the cease fire so we have the duty to make them disarm. The vitriolic hate against this war is not against what we are doing but who is doing it. Why won't the Canadians, French , Germans and American liberals admit they hate Bush, just as the Right admitted they hated Clinton.
Since 1998, that was 2 years before Bush was elected it has ben US foreign policy stance that a regime change was needed in Iraq. It wasn't that the inspector's werent given enough time, I think 13 years is plenty enough. So beleive as you may that it is a war for oil, what is is however is a war against Terrorism. then again you live in Oregon a long way away from those 2 holes that used to be the Trade Towers.
Now lets take up your example. Let's say you had a rapist loose in your neighboorhood, would you apease him by inviting him in to have sex with your wife as to not have him rape your daughter? that is you example lets apease the SOB, as to not have him attack us on our own soil. Get over whose in the White House, and see the real danger of being a pasifist, which we where for the last 8 years now we reap what was sown, not by Bush, remember the planning started long before he was in office, but by Clinton. anyones life, and we pay for our oil we always will, we

Not supporting our troops is the one single stupid act of any us citizen, have we not learned from past wars. Anti war setiment, yeah i have seen it. British big wigs didnt believe in the war untill they sent diplomats ove to iraq to talk with refugees, they were all for the war after they talked about the atrocities that was done to the people and children of iraq. Who do you think will stand up for their rights. Why if the US idea is soo evil, why would they drop food and knock out this regime and give the wealth to the people. The russians disagree with this war because a part of their economy is selling weapons to countries like iraq. Special interest out the window......Lets get real! Bands like s.o.a.d. are probly trying to market themselves, do you really think the band members of rage against the machine would protest on capital hill...... HA right!! . I really dont care about foreign policy, if it takes a pre-emptive strike to keep my family safe from terrorists then I am all for it. Should we have waited for his weapons to be used here before we acted? Then would it be OK to act, or would that be protested too? If 9/11 could have been prevented by a pre-emptive strike, would that have been protested? I bet it would have because the towers never would have fallen so nobody would have known what WOULD have happened, just like we dont know what this war will prevent from happening. I am not happy there is a war, I dont think anyone is, but I support them. Saddam had plenty of time to come clean, if the job was done in 1991 this wouldnt be happening.
