Two possiblities:
1. You have a leak in the carb bowl and all the gas is going down into the manifold. Rebuild the carb to fix.
2. You might have a slight leak in one of the fuel lines AND your carb float needle is not seating fully....in this rare case you will siphone gas out of the carb.
My money is on #1.
