I'm very new to the world of short wheel base having owned an cj and just recently purchased my yj. here is my question, i have a 92 yj totally stock, new u-joints in the rear drive shaft and recently balanced tires but there is a small vibration that is most noticable at around 60 km/hr, anybody had this problem or know what it could be? also what is the best way to lift it to get 33 inch tires under it and still maintain a fairly good ride?

Could be something in the front end. Maybe wheel bearings, or somthing with the steering. Jack it up and wiggle some stuff, see if there's play.
