Anyone intrested in doing a solid-axle swap in there 88-99 K1500 should check out Aprils issue of FOUR WHEELER. There is an amazing looking 94 Chevy turning 44" Boggers with a Dana 60/detroit locker up front on 8" SkyJacker springs and a Corporate 14-bolt/disk conversion/detroit locker and geared with 5:13's. It took the guy over 2 years to build it but it sure looks good. He also has is e-mail address in the artical for anyone that wants to ask him some questions.

Actually that whole magazine is full of Straight-Axle conversion tips.

2 years? I believe that there is a truck magazine this month with Off Road Unlimiteds new bolt on solid axle swap kit for IFS chevys.

Yeah, 2 years. He did everything him self. He designed it all on CAD. He machined all the steering components himself also. There was alot of work if you really think about what he did. Check out the artical your self...you will see
