i have a 2 1/2" rancho leaf spring lift on my cj and it rides like a radio flyer. my wife hates it and will only go a couple times a year. i wanted to know if there is anything i could do to maintain the height but soften the ride. or i could get a jeep chick girl friend with smaller breast, sence that seems to be the biggest problem.

Rancho makes a softride lift kit that rides pretty smooth. I am guessing that you just bought the regular kit, and it probably rides a lot like your stock springs. I think your best bet would be to find another jeep chick /wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif

I just went thru this with my Pro-comp suspension. I improved the ride immeasurably by making sure my shackles were nice and loose (not squeezing the bushings) and greasing the bushings. The difference was amazing, try that first before spending big bucks.

I hear ya. I had Rancho's on my Jeep for a few years. I kept hoping they would break in and soften, but it never happened. What I did to softent he ride was to remove the lowest, smallest leaf from all 4 spring packs. It really didn't lower the jeep much, but it sure made it ride and articulate better.
