Two points: First, I love my bestop supertop, and would recommend it (or any of their other products) to anybody. The product is well made, and their customer service is amazing. I lost a number of small parts over the winter, and they replaced them immediately, at no cost (not even shipping). Second, while I have a set of steelhorse super seats that I am also very happy with (but it is the only product they make that I have not heard anything horrible about.

It's ALL good!

 

My Bestop replace-a-top has lasted almost twice as long as the factory top. Everything I have owned from Steelhorse (console, trunk, soundbar) has been crap.

well i just got a 1/3 off at carparts now which is even bette, so i can get the steel horse top for about $168 bucks, i don't see anywhere on Carparts.com that they have the besttop replace-a-top with out the hardware, and with the half door skins.. i talked to the servce guy and he said they sell those for $553, which i'm sure hes wrong for a replace-a-top because everyone else is selling them for $290 or so, the top isn't gonna used in the winter, just for summer, i've got a hard top and full doors for the winter months, i'm really turning to the steel horse top even though i really don't want to because its at a low price...but i can't decide yet!!! its driving me crazy!

I just saw a replace a top at thinkjeep (deal with them at your own risk) for $277. Were it me, the $100 would not be worth the ulser of dealing with a poor product.

Try carparts.com again, I would think they sell all Bestop products. Since you have the 1/3 off coupon and they should match prices, the Bestop top should only be about $30 more (I think) than the Steel Horse top.

I would go with bestop,i have Steelhorse seats in my yj,and although i'm a big guy,you shouldn't have to reweld all the brackets!!!!!!!!!
