Hehehe

I have been a member of both for about the same time. I check both daily. I kinda like the AC board cause it has different forums for different topics. It helps organize the place.

Yeah, there are some stupid posts. Ok, there are lots, many by me. But I see em and I just ignore them most of the time. But how else do people learn? You gotta ask questions, no matter how dumb they are. I am SO thankful that these 2 boards exist, cause so much of my knowlage comes from them. Thanks to all!

Fellow hardcore Nissan 4-Wheelers-

I frequent both boards when I have time. Granted, the AC board has a lot of topic areas but I think it is easier to fin topics. I mean with the amount of posts they get daily they need it arranged like that or most people would spend hours searching.

Honestly though, I can't really get any hardcore information from that site. There are only a few Solid Axle Nissans on that board, one who is still working on his prject. The only thing I usually do is post new pics of my truck and trail rides or reply to posts.

For general bull-crapping and such AC is the board but for hardcore questions, stories and rigs you have to call this BBS home.

aHOY Brother Tim, how the hell are ya? Good to hear you've been out wheeling lots as I've been pretty much stuck in dry-dock the past month or so. The time has come once again to do some truck R "n" R and also some surgery etc, etc. Hows the long tube thingie with the round thing on the drivers side coming?

The Computer of my own....okay of my new company??? No not yet, for some selfish reason none of them what to meet my $250,000.00 a year salary expectations, nor the idea that I require a minimum of 6 Nissan internet bbs chit-chat hours per day? I tell ya the nerve of some people huh???

Hahahaha! Holy-poo Scott, I see I haven't lost my touch for creating controversy EH? I wasn't intending for this post to be a slam towards the A/C board, just wondered "Where had all the Good-Guy's Gone" as I hadn't noticed to many of them on that bbs...

MY BAD..... Hehehehehehe

Hey Harv... nice to hear from you as well. I can't say that I've been all that busy, but if anyone knows of a good "Couch & Sofa" BBS, I'd be very intersted to hear from you! Hahahahahaha, oh my god......was that me asking for a link?

Well Chris, We all know your middle name is "Controversy". And seems we did poke a stick into the hornets nest. Funny the responses you can get by just stating a personal opinion.
In reading some of the replys fron the AC guys I do think their is a misconception as far as new members and basic posts. I don't believe anyone here has had any problems answering (if the answer is known) any questions that are either simple or general in nature. That has never been an issue as far as I can tell. I am glad to help someone out who is new to Nissans or 4-wheeling in gereral if I can. But damn, their I go again... another personal opinion.
And what is this Jeep bbs crap????

Scott, that's what I experienced here too. I started as a total Nissan rookie somewhat a year and a half ago at this place. I got so much help and answers to all my dumb questions that I consider myself fairly knowledged now. This bbs here rocks, but at all it's way more hardcore than the 4x4parts bbs.
my 2 cents

To get started lets just say even when I still had the nissan I would lurk but never posted
over at automotive cust.
The thing about automotive cust. site, is a nissan truck site and this place is a 4 WHEEL
DRIVE PAGE. Plus to me this page is almost like a dysfunctional family. The 4x4parts
board is more like diaper school with some of the post. Plus I have problems with the fact that
every time someone posted about a product somebody always had to mention that you could get
that part from automotive cust. as if we didn't know that they sell nissan parts.

And I guess I'll say something also Whats the word on the picture disk tom?
Who knows maybe someday I will finish the roll of fill with the post roll pics
and the pics hydraulics pushing out the top so I could open the door and drive home.

Chris, change what ???? Can you say 'no straight body panel'? The color makes her look straight on the pics, that's all, she earned each dent. I'd love to go solid, but converting is a no-go with the authorities here and a Patrol is way off my budget for the moment.

Following DentKing's comment about A-C, well he might be right about the issue..."you can get it at A-C" ... I am one of those who do this, for these reasons ma'brother:

1) That page belongs to a "virtual store" and their BBS is kinda their marketing ramp, like it or not ... the OffRoad.com BBS is like a enthusiast's network with no evident commercial purspose...

2)I am loyal to people that have helped me getting all parts I've needed to a very good price and so do a lot of other guys that are there for friendship. We are not gettin' paid by being loyal.

3) A-C is asides of some newly arised copycats, the only True Nissan shop in the US, and it has customers all over the world and some friendly and very helpful after sales support.

4) That page has a lot of newcomers that those seasoned offroaders need to help to gain expertise to help our brand to get more aftermarket. And excuse me for this, but I've seen lots, lots of newcomers here too and some very beginner's questions around. The difference of the A-C BBS is that those questions are answered and you get a freindly hand, here on the other side sometimes you get ZERO answers because maybe the Hardcore Off roaders don't bother to help ... they are maybe too rad or too cool to care ....

My thoughts ....

And here is a local A-C BBS participant.... does he look beginner to you guys ????

One more thing, I post a message about, lets say, t-bars. There are more that 1500 members of that board. Not all of them check the boards daily but I know for sure that SOMEBODY will see my post and at least make a reply to it. Most of the time I get a valid response within that day. I know that all of you feel relieved when you see that little "1" next to your post.

Ya'll take it easy

No straight body panels....EXCELLENT!!! That's a good start, now as long as your spending some quality time with your rig, repairing broken parts etc., then we will have to ask Scott to digest stronger beers for those nasty remarks he made...Hahahahahaha

Basically Kartsen, it was just an invite to do some wheeling with ya???

PS.. It's funny you say "looks Straight" from the pictures, I notice the same thing with mine... Another good way I avoid hassels from the Bacon Boys "Cops" is keeping it dirty to hide the dents and scratches. It's amazing what a little mud-filler can do.. :)

Mud camouflage paint, eh?
I think Scott has to brew lots of strong beer, remember I live in southern bavaria, home of the beer. We have a 800 yrs. old brewery in our town, owned by the prince of bavaria. Yes, we still have royals!!!

And yes, this was an invitation to everyone you makes his way to europe to go wheelin' with me ! Matt '1hardbody94' and a few others of us were wheelin' in italy last month and we sure had fun

BEERvaria??? That's Cool! Now is that the home of the Ale or the Lager or Both? You and I will have to hook-up and entertain ourselves by suppling our brews to our American freinds here sometime... I always get a kick out of that, almost like serving moonshine in a little bottle..
Heheheheehee

BTW What this Light beer Stuff I keep hearing about???? :)

Chris don't drink beer!!! But you can invite me on over... I will have his share.
Funny you should mention brewing as that is a hobby I have just taken up. Unfortuanatly, the four batches I have brewed to date, not one of them has turned out worth a chit.
Got a stout ready to brew for next month... hope to maybe finally get a batch to turn out.
