30 degrees, 12 feet. Pretty sure we are not gonna have anyone go off the end...(though some of us have seen it before). It does make our Jeeps pretty wimpy looking when they only go up 1/3 the way...but it's fun to play with...

I got to ride behind this from 8am Saturday till 4pm from Van Buren, AR (Fort Smith) to North Little Rock, AR. Got covered in soot and oil and steam from hanging out the door most of the way but had a great time. Have several hours of video to condense down to the interesting parts too.

Really didn't do anything on Sunday, there was a race here, well sort of - between the thunder storms and tornados, I did smoke some ribs and then grill them to finish. Weather got in the way and it really wasn't my best batch ever... but not too bad, and they did do 180 laps of the track then called it good, from what I listened to on the radio it was a pretty good race (hmm note to self: get tickets next year).

Last weekend we went to Eastern Tennessee, and I haven't quit crying yet. We took my wife's car because we planned on saving a ton of money on gas, which I'm sure we did, but we found some really bodacious back roads that I wish we could have gone on. My dad used to own a farm near a mt range called Clinch Mountain. Terraserver.com shows a "jeep trail" going up and over the mountain. Are any of you familiar with this are? We also heard a couple of people bragging about how they wench their Jeeps staight up rocks to get to the trails they are heading to. True?

Gee, all I did was replace the pinion seal on my rear diff. And replace the catalytic converter. Of course every time I tried to get some work done on my Jeep, it started to rain. So I would pack up the electrical tools and try to stay completely under my Jeep.

But now my Jeep only leaks from the front.

Long weekend, lots happened.

First, was on the wrong side of the law on Saturday morning, Luci and I were fishing from her beach on her property on a lake, ops. I didnt think we needed a lisc. So now we both have season lisc. to fish in VT, after a nice talkin to from the game warden.

I put the fishing lisc. to work, and caught a lot of fish, mostly the same one. I kept tossing it back, and it kept grabbing the hook.

I purposed to my girlfriend, we are now engaged and hopefully will be getting married in oct of 05.

Luci and I decided to see the sunrise off of Okemo Mt sunday morning. Took the opertunity to get a good shot of the jeep.

I then got to go water skiing thanks to the next door neighbors up there.

Umm went up to wisconsin, did some 4 wheeling on our camps trails, went off reservation on some d&r trails and got my buddies zj really stuck with no other trucks around took us about 3 hours of come alongning and digging to get us out. That night an incident happened and now i won't be back to camp for another 3 weeks. Came home saturday didn't do much. Sunday and monday i've been doing some slave labor for my mom, i hate doing screens it's a major pain. It's been an allright weekend but the incident kinda put a damper in my fun. Now i'm out to put an oil pressure sender in the green xj and pack up my tools since i'm hoping to get a job turning wrenches at our island house. I'll be there for a while now. Moral of the weekend don't be stupid.

yeah, it's ugly, but it only cost me $400, and I can paint it and use it as a DD and retire the CJ to occasional use.

Finally put the suspension lift on the ol' CJ. Took every air tool I own and copious amounts of PB Blaster, but it's done. No pics though, I was too tired afterwards.

Also reorganized the rest of my tools, cleaned up the greasy ones and filled a dumpster with old decking lumber and concrete. Hard on the body, but I enjoyed every minute of it!

Finished painting the front half of the CJ, installed the new windshield frame, put the hood, fenders, grill etc. back on.....and went for a nice bumpy ride down to the creek Sunday.....woohoo

Worked around the house and had a yard sale. I did get to use the Commando though.

Ran the winch cable across the top of a ladder and to a tree. Viola! ******* clothesline for the yard sale.

Cleaned the pool and opened it. And got the house ready for an appraisal and refinance.
Then sat by the pool and had a few of these.

My weekend was a bit more exciting than I had counted on. Friday night I drove to Maine to see my family and friends. Saturday my dad enlisted me to mow his 3 acre lawn(I really don't miss doing this). Saturday night went out with the boys for some beers and to oggle the local ladies. As we left the bar one of my friends got in an argument with some jerk looking for a fight. I thought it was over, but just as my friend took a few steps outside the kid flew past me and knocked my friend out cold with a single punch. I would've been impressed had my friend even seen the punch coming. So naturally(despite normally being a non-violent person) I proceeded to pummel the kid until the bouncers pulled me off(too soon for my liking). Luckily, the other friend with us is well known and well liked by the PD so we got off without even getting a warning. On Sunday four of us went down to a friend's gravel pit with a dozen guns and close to 1000 rounds of ammo and released some aggression by shooting an old couch, beer cans, and eventually the old couch dowsed in gas with exploding targets on it. Now that's just good times. I then managed to get my stock XJ stuck up to the doorsills in mud and had to have it pulled out by a front-end loader. The rest of the weekend was spent washing the XJ and recovering in general. If only I had driven my CJ, I never would've needed the loader. It would have cost me $80 more in gas, but can you really put a price on good mudding?
