Re: Snow? I\'ve all you want

Wish I had some of that white stuff! Here in Indy, we kinda forgot what that looks like. Haven't had a good snow in a long time! The last blizzard we had (Many years ago), I then had my 2wd posi-trac postal jeep. It did great, but then again, it's a Jeep! Haven't found enough snow yet to get my Scrambler even close to being stuck . . . yet

Keep on Jeepin'

Re: Snow? I\'ve all you want

I don't have a picture, but since the first of 2000, we have had 75 inches at my house, with over 100 inches during December. Of course the jeep stays on the road, with all the vehicles. This is at Big Sky, MT.

Re: Snow? I\'ve all you want

/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif We had our little snowstorm about a week ago, and I ran quick and got my vernier micrometer so I could get a measurement before it melted. We feel kind of foolish building this SNOJEEP, when there isn't any snow. Oh well, maybe the day we get the SNOJEEP RUNNING it'll snow?/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

Re: Snow? I\'ve all you want

Any of you guys want to take the time to rent a fleet of reefer trucks and ship it our way, feel free to do so. It's 55 deg. today, all
we had a week or so ago is about melted.

Re: Snow? I\'ve all you want

LEVE......some people get all the fun weather! Since I moved from New England (NuWingland to those up that call up there HEaaah)30 years ago I haven't had a good blow .....except the blizzard of '96. For those who watch the Weather Channel I live in the region of SE Penna where the snow line seems to always stop ......always on the edge of decent fall.... When we do get a good one ......man .....I imagine it must be like rain in Phoenix AZ ...........yaaaaaaaaahooooo! Everybody with a 4x4....snowmobile...you name it is out feelin' their Wheaties. Perhaps a migration to Canada ...........

Jon, just keep on going west a couple hours if there is no snow in Taos, and you'll be right in the middle of 4by heaven./wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

Re: Snow? I\'ve all you want

I'll second that. I lived in Nj, and I have had just about enough of snow... Now here in Fl again we could use some good monsoon weather, those fires are starting to spring up again, an that just means that all the good mud holes are all dryed up...

Dave, I have it on good authority that Mother Nature is waiting patiently for you to finish your CJ-7. She doesn't want to waste all that good snow prematurely./wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif

Re: Snow? I\'ve all you want

/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif I'm considering putting on a second shift of moonguys/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif to try and push this project along. We are gone tomorrow to take one of the kids back to skool(airport) then Saturday Jeepchick is working all day with me on the SNOJEEP. My regular helper isn't available. The problem is, Jeepchick just wants to hop in and turn on the key, the heck with all this other stuff like welding and so forth. You know how impatient a young wife can be, as opposed to those of us who are (UGH!)(don't make me say it) "senior" to them, and much more patient.
Actually, it IS supposed to snow a little this weekend, but in a dry year, it looks like snow, acts like snow, feels like snow, and it won't snow./wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif

Re: Snow? I\'ve all you want

No snow yet. This year the record was broken for the latest in the year with no snow on the ground. It was -9 this morning, warmed up to 0 by 9AM. I live in Winter Harbor, Maine, fitting name...

Re: Snow? I\'ve all you want

I don't know about all this snow talk. It's been in the 60's here and I think I'll take the top down today - just cause I can (without a coat, even!). Maybe even wash the sucker on the front lawn!
