Im building a stainless 3" snorkle for my rig,( I know it's a bit wide but thats what I got ). Just wondering if any one has any problems with taking in water when it rains( through the ram air style inlet)? Iv attatched 2 quik renderings of my first 2 ideas. #1 is just a 5" cap welded off center side wall to side wall. #2 is a type of rain bypass. The bottom rear section would have drain slot cut out.

Wha'd yal think?

Re: Snorkel inlet?

Mug shot
I like your ram air one better than the first one, first one resembles a coke can too much
If you make a ram air one, clamp it on so during extreme rain you can spin it around to face the rear stop water being forced down.
BTW what did you use to Design these, solid works ?

Re: Snorkel inlet?

Looks pretty awesome, let us know when you get it finished because I would like to see what it looks like installed on the Zuk.
