I pulled the hub, rotor, and spindle shaft today to change the spindle bearing in hope's that it's what was causing my stub shaft to not line up in the hub, however all bearings look good (still changing them though) however I notice there's quite abit of play in the slipshaft, like if I grab it and push and pull on it (from the front of the truck to the back, not side to side)there's about 1/8 -1/4 inch of play, is that normal? or is there even supposed to be any play at all?

Yep.
(As long as you're referring to the stub-shaft play within the spindle.)
It's normal.

Do you have adjustable bushings on the upper ball joint?
You can sometimes get the bushing rotated so far,
that it will be tough to align the shaft with the hub, since the knuckle is moved so far off-center.

I'm pretty sure I have the adjustable bushings, might have to try that, but you see the stub shaft is centered side to side in the hub, but not up and down, it's kinda towards the top, like it's pointing up a bit, rather than straight with the spindle, which is why my hublock won't engage, but anyways, I'm referring to where the right shaft goes into the slip shaft, that's where I have alot of play

That should be relatively tight.
You will obviously have some "end play", but once the outer components are bolted on, including the hubs, most of that will go away.

No, there shouldn't be any wobble in the slipjoint, at least not ideally. I don't think that could be normal because those that run 4x4 in the snow at highway speeds would vibrate their frontends to death with that slop. I can't run over ~30mph in 4x4 due to massive slack in that joint. If you just use 4x4 for slow speed off road stuff, fixing it is not mandatory but add some grease and make sure the boot is good to keep it from getting worse.

um..you mean the rubber boot that's supposed to be there?...there's not one on there...
...anyways one of my club members is doing a solid axle swap soon just not sure when, he told me to let him know if I need any ttb parts, so I'll see what kinda shape his slip joint is in and maybe grab the rest of the shafts too
