I just got the new Quadratec catalog today and I was looking at the 6" Skyjacker Rock Ready Mono leaf YJ lift.
It looks pretty cool, but how does it perform? Has anyone on this board used it? I'm considering something like this or a spring over, what do you guys think?
I'm changing the axles so I am thinking just go spring over while I am at it.

Thanks for any info you might have

Unless you have military wrap springs, all you have to do is break the main leaf. Most of the time, the main leaf gets over stressed at the end of the second leaf. From what I've read, the kit is suppossed to perform well. I wouldn't hesitate to use it but it is expensive.

Yep, I run a double wraped main (BDS) and four SkyJacker Softrides..

Even if you broke a main leaf there are a few trail repairs that could be performed to get you out.....with just one leaf to begin with I am not so sure.
I still feel this is more of a gimic type deal than a real long term take the abuse performer...once again just my opinion.

Common sense is genius dressed in working clothes.

I was thinking about this kit to, so I asked a couple of questions, did a search, and called a couple of shops. What I heard is that the springs have a very high tendancy to bend (even on the street!). The springs are warranteed so if you want to re-do your lift every month or so then I say go for it. But if I was you I would run far and fast from that kit.

This has nothing to do with this kit or hardcore wheeling, but do you guys know that alot of vehicles came/come with monoleafs in them? I am actually impressed at how the new ones work. What makes this even more crazy is that most of the newer ones are not even metal, but composite material. I have ner seen or even heard of one of them breaking. Granted they are not made for a max flex machine, but how far off are we from that? even astro vans run them, some rangers too. The cool thing is that they never sag. Just thought I'd throw this out.
