they are bigger idler wheels for the rear of your suspension.
you gain track horsepower by making an easier path for the track. bending a track sharply takes more energy than a gentler curve.
i am actually suprised all sled makers don't use bigger rear idlers, probly wieght and room for suspension travel i guess
