my buddy has his sammi to a rolling chassis now (coilover front and rear 38.5's etc) and it is time to start on the drivetrain.

here's the question does anyone know of or have any links to someone using a kick drivetrain and putting a zuk tcase on the end to run dual cases? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

p.s. the reason i ask is because we have all these parts at our disposal and it sure would save a ton of cash.

The kick 1st gear is 3.65, tcase 1.8, whatever the sammy case is... (say 4:1), and R&P (say 4.10)... here's how to do the math in this scenario.

3.625 x 1.8 x 4.0 x 4.10 = 107.80 in LowLow

Yay me!

Nah really... I don't know why I had such a hard time with it before... I was searching (at pirate I might add
) and figured it out. Now I have #'s in my head all the time... I'm looking at some really LOW #'s but I still need a medium numerical fix, tire size is a killer, I might have to go into the R&P this summer.

Re: Bacon bits...

thanks again. i knew there would be something like that out there!

so how bad would a 77:1 crawl ratio be for starters? you think that would get us by for a few months?

Re: Bacon bits...

i'll get some better pics up maybe tonight.

the shop is my buddies shop overkill offroad.

the front susupension is a w link 4 link set up and the rear is sort of a 1 link setup that pivots off of the EXPENSIVE ball joint in the front. looks like a big trailer ball. it would have flexed alot more considering there isn't a motor in it so the front wasn't flexing at all and the rear is just tack welded so we didn't want to break anything.
