I will be doing this soon, after I finish the body mounts and diamond plate bed on the Scrambler. JEEPNCHICK's '47 frame is also shot, but I managed to pick up a mint M-38 frame, complete with axles and steering gear (and tie down points). I'll probably go with the CJ-2A axles, as they're lower geared, someone correct me if I'm wrong or if I should keep them.

I have a friend that is building a flatfender with a DJ-5 frame, apparently it's 4" longer than the CJ frame and he wants to do a shackle reversal with the extra length.

I don't know of anyone that has replaced a frame with a more current one, but with some modifications and a little ingenuity anything is possible. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, just didn't want you to think anyone wasn't paying attention.
