SHE\'S HOME !!!!!

Well after 5 1/2 days of solid work
Image
. Toad and I got the beast loaded on the trailer and she made the journey back to Hotlanta. Keep in mind we basically rebuilt this Jeepster from the frame up in 5 days.
Image

MANY MANY thanks to Toad for putting up with my
Image
and doing the things he did. Also Log, Volster, and BigAl for their time and help.
Image

I think Toad took some pictures, I will take some tonight as well.
But word to the wise. If you go full width.......think about your trailer as well. Cause mine did not fit and The little Commando
Image
that could would not pull it on the trailer. We had to break out the f-250 4X4 TO GET IT ON.
The engine is set in, she is back together, new crossmember axles are done, tires are on, and so forth.

Now we just need to wire it, stick some drive shafts in it, through in a radiator and other little things and we will see what breaks first.

Again I appreciate the time (excluding his 3 hour lunches
Image
) and effort from Toad he is truly a
Image
up individual.

SO the question is,,,,,,,,,CAVER tell me again why it took 5 months to put a motor in Mossy??
Image
hehehehehehe

Give me something to run over!

Re: SHE\'S HOME !!!!!

Once again Mudwiper is "on the trailer" (aka...unable to move under it's own power)!

Why did it take 5 months? Because we wanted it that way!

So now the REAL question is who are you riding with at the JAM this year? Toad? PineLog? Or are you gonna take an ass whippin' from Tater to ride bitch with me?

Seriously, glad you got somewhat back together. Can't wait to see some pics! I guess we can start refering to Aaron's as "the little Jeepster" now?

Re: SHE\'S HOME !!!!!

I'm glad to hear you made such great progress. I have to admit I was a little doubtful about it being together that soon, when I was up there. Congratulations! (Like I said to you then, it like your kid: you fuss at it when it there, but you really miss it when it's not!) Glad it's home!

Re: SHE\'S HOME !!!!!

Cheese - you gonna bring it over here for a test run before the JAM? I can probably talk the boys into going anytime.

If she can make it though some of the stuff at Gardendale she can make it though anything a dozer can.

and a wrench.

Re: SHE\'S HOME !!!!!

My "Little" Jeepster still gets driven every day and everywhere I or the kids need to go, and now that the new 389 stroker is in and has about 500 miles on it and running good, Ive gotten to hammer it a few times. It is now like useing a 5 lb sledge hammer instead of a 3 oz chipping hammer. I was kind of worried about getting on it and how the rear suspension would react but it pulls nice and straight. Time for bigger tires when the 35's wear down some more, then the gears go to 5:13's. Does this stuff ever end? Aaron

Re: SHE\'S HOME !!!!!

Looks just like a bullnose, only uglier.

Actually, it looks good. Not as wide as I expected. Is that the trailer you pulled it on in the background?
I have a friend with one just like it that I borrow from time to time. Does yours have trailer brakes? His doesn't, and it makes for some fun stops with a Cherokee pulling the Commando (Short trips, no Highway)

Re: SHE\'S HOME !!!!!

yes that is the trailer I brought it home on. It is 76" wide and the rear did not fit. The front tires are temp tires (33x12.50x16.5) we left them on there just so we could get it on the trailer. And it has electric brakes, but I am in search of a new trailer 83" wide now.
The front will raise up another 3-4" after the real tires go on,(same as the back)

Caver that front is 4" YJ lifted BDS springs sprung over. Stand next to it, you can tell.
Pictures don't show justice, that is why I put Mossy the little pink jeep next to it
Image
to get an idea of how big it was.
Image

And the can on the front tire
Image
IT IS NOT MINE, (cause it was empty)

Re: SHE\'S HOME !!!!!

You know that is funny,
Image
cause Toad said the same thing.
Image
I must have to only Jeepster in the world that a Bullnose clip will NOT fit on
Image
Image
. It is weird how they made mine different. Oh well I am not going to complain
