When installing a ORD 4" Shackle Flip and wanting to maintain a 4" lift how many are retaining the stock springs instead of new springs? If you retain the original springs what are you doing to recondition them? What are you using for ubolts to adapte to a Corp 14 Bolt FF? Thanks, Bill

When I do a shackle flip, I'm going to retain the stock springs. I'll separate the leaves and clean them up and either re-paint them or have them powdercoated. I'd also like to replace the little teflon tips as well. U'bolts I can get at any local spring shop, all they need is the axle tube diameter and the length. I might also flip over the overload spring at the bottom of the pack for a little more flex.

The springs I have in my 81 are from a 88 K5, and they came with the teflon tips. I believe they're riveted but I'm not sure as I haven't had them apart yet.
