Yesterday I put in a post about tire pressure, (thanks for all the info and advice ya'll gave me), and I would like to know if shackle extensions will pick my CJ7 up enough to get the Buckshots (33x12.50x15) under it, and where to get them if they will (the shackles). There's a chart I saw awhile back that says I can run 32x11.50x15 under my CJ7 with no lift, and I measured a new set of 33's that a friend of mine has on his truck, and it looks to me like I should have no trouble with the 33's, maybe a little rubbing under flex in the woods. Thanks in advance.

True on half the distance of added length, but there are other problems with shackle lifts, the most irritating of all being the fact that it throws your alignment angles way off (think about it, you're only adding distance between the front of the spring and the frame, while the rear stays stationary....)

If your planning on running off-road only, extended shackles are ok. IF your planning on alot of on-road driving, over length shackles can be dangerous.
