My dad is working on trying to separate the D20 and the T14. He has removed the two as a unit and removed the 4 cap screws that hold the two together but it still won't come apart. I am not there to look at it at the moment but he said that those 4 screws were the only things he could see connecting them. Is there something else there that needs to be disconnected? Thanks

I just seperated my D20 from my Th400 and it took some work. Wiggiling and prying the gears inside kind of lock together. It was tuff. I think it helped to wiggle the tailshaft and pull at the same time. Good luck.

Lee,

Thanks for the help. My Dad got it apart last night. I wanted to ask you about what you did with the crossmember. I know you said that you moved it back so the front bolt bolted into the rear hole. What did you do with the rear bolt exactly so you could bolt to the frame? Also, how is everything mounted? I know Novak's website says that there is no place to mount to the 420 itself. Thanks,

Chris

Chris,

I drilled two new holes and was able to get nuts inside the frame from some holes that somebody cut previously. You may have to drill a access hole along the frame. I know other people have come up with different ways to attach the cross member. The crossmember mount is now on the adapter itself and uses the same mount that you have now. Good luck.
