Would it be wise to trade/sell my 02' raptor with minor bolt on mods for a cannondale quad? or should i wait a couple years for some cheaper used yfz? I know most are going to reccomend the yamie, but I don't think i want to wait that long. please help

make sure u find out that cannondale is not a "bad apple"..... i got mine used and ive had to drop the motor twice in less than 6 months...... as soon as i got it fixed... i got to ride it for two months and now its broken again..... so.... watch out..... its great to have a running quad

(MY OPINION)
I think if you traded your Raptor now for a Cannondale, you would be trading it in on a YFZ later anyway,I believe you should waite and get the right quad the first time, WHY WAIST TIME AND MONEY?

my cannondale is faster than the YFZ..... and Ive seen YFZ's front ends fall apart in midair during a race..... the front ends even if they stay on.. handle really squirrely

I have a Cannondale Speed, and it's a super machine, best I've ever seen. You must do the engine upgrades or else the quad will destroy itself. A Stage8 kit will do it.
I got my quad for 3.750 dollar, and remmember, in the Netherlands a new Raptor costs 10.000 dollar.

If I were you I would kick the Raptor out and get a C'dale.

I dont know what you mean by the front end being squirly on the YFZ, I LOVE THE WAY MINE HANDLES, and in the last race I was in (2 weeks ago) in the PRO class there were 2 Cannondales (13 quads total) I (on my YFZ) got the hole shot, went to wide into the corner and got passed by a pimped out 450F honda and a Banshee, at the end of a 20 lap main event, I was right behind the 4th place quad, (honda330R)I GOT 3rd, so not only did I beat BOTH the cannondales , but I laped them besides
YES the dale is fast, but the YFZ IS QUICKER

yours isnt exactly stock either...... im talkin about the stock front end..... i wont be impressed by that quad after i saw the whole front end fall apart on one.... and besides my quad was keepin up with a crf450 quad in the straights.... that guy is a national A level rider, and this is with my cannibal mapping... not my moto.... those cannondale riders must not have been very good... when ridden to the best of a Dales potential.. they can top national pro classes and pro-am and such....... even over my motor problems.... id still choose a Dale over the yfz anyday..... i would prefer my quad to stay in one piece on the track... and not spend a ton of money on every aftermarket piece out there... i cant afford it and a lot of others cant either.... my quad can compete nationals easily with a lot of stock parts... good thing about Dales.. "race ready"

I agree, the front end is not squirly at all. I havent had much of a chance racing it on motocross, because I broke my wrist during my first race on it,(Too much speed
)but it is not squirly and I LOVE IT!Oh, and my front end is still totally stock.

look, I dont want to get into a pissing match with ya, when I smoked my first Dale, my YFZ was stock, I pulled out the baffle and removed the airbox lid, THATS ALL, now Im not saying the Dale is slow ITS NOT, but YES IVE ridden both, I PREFER THE YFZ , thats the great thing about having so many dif. kinds of Quads out there, what works for me doesent work for you , and vise versa, Im glad you like your quad, like any kind of racing, HOW FAST YOU GO DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH MONEY YOU SPEND, I didnt HAVE to spend money on my engine, I want the badest quad around, so I did! I dont know if its the badest around , but I havent found one that can out pull me yet, YET being the KEY word !!!
My point is this, I think the YFZ is a better quad than a Dale, you think the Dale is better than the YFZ, WHO CARES!!! TO EACH HIS OWN!!! just dont diss on someone elses ride just because you seen ONE that broke!!!
