Does anyone know what's the deal with this motor? I've been reading about it being in various race cars, but I can not find any info on the
web about it. Is it made by the same "Scat" that makes VW parts? Any info is appreciated.

thanks, tim

You can probably get a turn key motor for about 23k. According to Adam Wik, Wilsons can run their motor all season without any breakage. They change the bearings every race because they dis-assemble the motor to make sure theres no damage. They can get about 250hp with tons of torque.

if you are going buggy racing and can afford it, it's the way to go.
