hello,
I have a 1988 s10 pickup 2wd,6cyl.
the cab, bed, etc. are in excellent shape but the engine is no good.
i also have a 1987 s10 4wd, blazer.6cyl
the body is rotted out, but the drivetrain, engine, trans, frame, are good.
i would like to put the pickup body on the blazer.
Has anyone ever done this?
it seems like everthing will line up, so any advice would be great.

Sounds like you'll be haveing some fun there
It is completely possible to do ...You will need to relocate a few body mounts and bed mounts
If I'm thinking correctly you have the reg cab short box if so the wheel basse should be the same
Other then that All i can say is Grab a measureing tape and goto town with it Check every thing out ......Wheel base ,frame width ,body mount locations, gas tank....If I remember from the one I had the truck has the tank in frount of rear axel and the blaser has the tank behind the rear Axel
so it is possible to do ....With a little custom fab work
My Personal opinion if you got the time and place along with the tools

Man and Have fun
If a freind of mine can double stack the frames on an s-10 and Put an 82 Firebird on a Blazer frame ....Anything is possible

You're gonna have one heck of a time getting the bed on. the Blazer's wheelbase is around 100.5", while the reg-cab SB is a shade over 108" You're going to end up chopping a big chunk off the bed somewhere, and doing some mods to body mount locations and such. Easier route may be to go with the cab only, and make a custom flat deck, but if you really want to go to the trouble of putting a bed on it, you might end up with a little something that looks like Mark Hall's "Runt." You can find the writeup about his truck here.

It really doesn't matter if a bed goes on or not.
My main concern is mounting the cab.
The p/u is an xtend cab
Will the p/u cab fit right in place?
The mounts on the firewall/front cab right behind the front fenders look the same.
Will they just match up or do I need to move mounts?
How about the ones behind the front seats?
I tried emailing some of the people on that site but I have not recieved any replies.
thanks
Joe
