ijust finnished a spring over (using wrangler springs) on my 1983 cj7 about three months ago. i ordered all my parts from rubicon express. everything they sent me worked perfect except for the spring pads. when i tightened th u-bolts to the proper torqe the pads bent in half. and it wasn't just one, it was all four. long story short i ended up using my stock spring pads. the rubicon express pads lacked the curled up edges that the stock pads had, and all other pad have. when i tried to explain this to them they just said i tightened them to tight. after a few (bad) words were exchanged they took the pads back, but i still have not gotten my money back after three months. letting people know about this is the closest thing to getting my money back.

I am having a similar problem withj steel horse and a hardtop i bought through quadratec. N one at steel horse or quadratec seems to be interested in even returning my calls.

I can agree that quadratec has HORRIBLE customer service. I had one of their salesman calling my house 2-3 times a DAY bothering the bejeebies out of me for a mistake that one of their people made. I've never dealt with RE, but was thinking about getting a new track bar from them, any input? Also, I've dealt with Don-A-Vee, and having not spoken with them after a month, they knew me by name even after that long. And I also like how 4 wheel hardware knows me by name and vehicle(s). That keeps someone coming back...just my .02

RE has always been good to me. I have ordered from them 4 times. In the last order they did not include a T-case drop kit I ordered. I called them and they shipped it that day with no hassle, even gave me a free t-shirt, OOOOOHHH AAAAHHH :) If I order something on a monday it is usually here in Ottawa Canada by Thursday. That is pretty fast. I have also ordered stuff from Quadratec, they shipped everthing with in 7 working days.

Aaron.
