Has anyone actually purchased a adapter from Ruben? I have talked to them on the phone, but never got any information, good or bad, regarding the setup I chose to use (4L60E/Dana300). I want to know am I wasting my time pursuing anything from them.

I purchased a T350 tranny to FJ 40 t/case adapter from him. It is well made and saved me about $200. The negative aspect to the product is the lack of bracket adapters and other accessories that AA has built into their product lines. I discovered that my Ruben Adapter was about 1 3/4" shorter than AA's which added to my rear drivetrain length. However I had to create a t/case shifter bracket (about 6 hours). If you are handy and have the right tools it may be worth the $ savings. I would look at the AA set up you intend to use and see what specialized brackets etc you will need before ordering either adapter. I found Ruben very helpful and would order from him again. Shaun

Thanks for the input. My particular setup wouldn't need anything exceptional except the pad for bolting on the transmission mount. I've considered having him machine the input shaft for me and fabricate the housing myself, but the time invested might not be worth it. I build everything else, but don't have broaching ability to cut internal splines.
