While at the Indianapolis Jamboree for the weekend the guys talked me into competing in the Rockcrawling competition. There were 15 rigs in my class. The only limitations on the rigs for the Stock Super Modified class was 36-40" tires, and no rear steering. There were jeeps stretch, etc., etc.

The 1st video is of my qualifing run, only the top 5 rigs made it into the finals. I was the 6th rig to run and only the 1st to make it through without breakage. A TJ ran right before me with dual HP 60's and blew a CTM joint out of the front drying to do a front wheel dig to miss a cone.

The 2nd Video is of my finals run. I was the 3rd rig of 5 to run the course in the finals and the 1st to make it without winching. Felt much more off-camber at the end than it looks in the video.

I hope these links work.

My spotter and I didn't realize that the last cone was sitting on the OB line, so I ended up finishing 3rd. If I would not have hit that OB line I would have won the class and won a new set of Allied Beadlocks.

You have to move quick to win since it is timed. The qualifying round was pretty easy so to make the top 5 you couldn't mess around.

I could definetly have used that low geared Atlas though if I just had one!!!!!

Watched only 3 pro modified rigs complete the course out of 10 but it was really too tight for them the way the zigs zagged them around. The only rigs that made it completely passed on a couple of gates.

CONE KILLER! :D :p

Hood dents never looked so good!

I just looked at them again...
Those were some TIGHT gates! Lucky you didn't have a fat girl with you!
You also need to teach your spotter you can't go 3 directions at once... :p

Thanks everyone.

It was short but fun. Saw alot of cool rigs that I would have hated to see the price tag of.

I almost came home with a cherry Jeepster also. The body was completey redone and rust free and UN-CUT!!!! I thought seriously about buying it, the price was about right, but in the end I let reason win the battle.

The real reason I didn't buy it was because I would have had to kick the TJ out of the garage if I did and I don't think she would have ever forgiven me.:(

Beginning to gather parts for my winter build already. I have my Dana 300 and will be doing the 4X4 Machine doubler and stretching the wheel base about 6" at the rear.
