Looking for riders to ride with in southern California. 4x4 trail riding, ghost town hunting and desert camping.

I moved away from SO Cal back in June of '94, unfortunately I can't talk the wife into making trips down there just yet to go camping and riding (have to buy her her own quad first lol) or we'd have to get together and do some exploring. Something you might want to try, make up a flyer or some business card type adds telling what type of riding you want to do, and a little about yourself, "like married with kids", "family outings", "retired" etc, and drop them off at all the local cycle shops. I dropped off some cards at one local bike shop to advertise an ATV forum, and had quite a few locals sign in to check out the website, which gave me the contact to find new riding buddies. Since the business cards are small and don't use up much space, most bike shops don't mind you leaving them on the counter next to the register, especially if they are in an actual business card holder. Good Luck, hope you find somebody to ride with, I know what it's like to be alone on the trails, gets sort of boring sometimes lol.

I used to live in a tiny town called Parker, Arizona. It was right on the border to southern Cal. The riding there was awesome and the ghost towns were so much fun to explore. Had to move back to Buffalo though. I will get back there someday - maybe buy a winter home. Anyway, count your blessings because there is nothing like riding in the desert. You know that old saying "you don't know what you had til it's gone". well trust me, truer words were never spoken, especially when you're freezing your tail off in -25 degree wind chills.
