Has anyone replaced side panels on their jeep? I need to replace both sides and corners on my jeep and was wondering if a tub would be a better option. A lady needed a closer look at my jeep in her explorer and she got a little too close. What company has the best parts. Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.

I rebuilt my tub 1.5 years ago. I learned a great deal by doing this. Go to http://vanevery.homestead.com if you want to see how much fun it was. Quality for the panels differ. It also depends on how inexpensive the job you want to do will be, or how good a welder you are.

I looked at your profile and in answering your questions it would help to kown what model Jeep you own. Here are several places you can try for panels, these are the companies that came to mind:

JCWhitney
http://www.jcwhitney.com/home.jhtml
The most inexpensive panels. The quality fit my wallet... they welded well. Flooring will need some fitting,
They also have the floor stiffeners used under the rear floor of the tub.

4WDrive Hardware

Quadratrec

Raybuck

The have one piece side panels that go from the cowl to the tailgate... this makes a nice fit. But the part has to be shipped by truck.

Classic Enterrises.

These are IMHO about the best fooring secitons on the market.

Larry,
I was looking through your web page and in it you mentioned that you got stiffeners for the rear part of the tub from jcw. I have to do the same thing that you did, front of my tub is fine, the back is toast. I have numberous jcw catalogs and i have never seen these in them. Is there some other book that i need to order from to fined these stiffeners. Randy

I found the stiffiners only by accident.. and called JCW and asked them to move the siffeners to the JEEP area of the catalog. I though they'd sell more, I guess you know who listens to me! I'll get the catalog out and find the reference and post it...

These stiffeners are also avaliable from Eastwood Products. I'd have to look again, but I think there was a price difference between the two suppliers.
