A friend used a solder gun, clicking the trigger on and off, to melt a 12" crack together on his early 90's honda 250X. It did a great job that seemed just as durable as original.

THE WAY WE DO IT IN THE CLUB. IS DRILL A SMALL HOLE ON EACH SIDE OF THE CRACK AND PUT A COLORED PLASTIC TIE IN IT,DO IT ALL THE WAY DOWN IT ABOUT HALF IN"
APART. IT WORKS GREAT.YOU CAN GET THE TIE'S THE COLOR OF YOUR ATV.

They make plastic welders but there probabbly as expensive as a new fender, You might be able to rent one though.

 

Check with your ATV dealer, or an auto parts shop. They now make repair material for just about any plastic part. If no luck with these suggestions, try a body shop, they may have a few trciks up their sleeve.

I work with plastics and also own a quad. The material used is polyethelene. It is an inert material that cannot be glued together. Depending on the manufacturing process of the fenders, you may be able to weld it. The mechanical fastening is probably the quickest and easiest way to go. Good luck!

 

I went with the tie wraps suggested by S230ATV in an earlier post. It was a quick and easy repair and I happened to have a couple
of red tie wraps to match the color of the fender.
