Relay importent: engine tranny questions

well my friend was putting a built 302 into his f150, had a 300, dropped in the v8 found the tranny is back afew inches to far. Well he also has a another f150 with a 351M and a automatic, will the automatic bolt up to the 302? Either that or well have to move the 4 speed closer to the engine, and figure out how to amek the shifter not hit the dash.

No, the 351M uses a big-block bolt pattern for the bellhousing.
