Re: a wee bit O/T the longest post here?

Well, in the end, when it is all done, I will have around 25-30k into it. But, this is a multiyear project. And half of that is the engine/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif. Last time I checked it was 14,800./wwwthreads_images/icons/shocked.gif Anyway, desktop dyno says 699 hp @ 5000rpm and 829 ft/lbs @ 3000rpm.

Re: a wee bit O/T the longest post here?

Haha, I do lots of stuff. I own my own Mobile/Residential audio/video company. I don't have a store front, I am mobile. I go to the houses and do the installs, and go to the peoples home or work to do there cars. But, my main job is construction. I have my own company there too. Right now I am buying old HUD houses and remodeling them and selling them with my Dad. Problem with the houses is that I don't make any money till the house sells which is usually a good 2 months apart and then it's not that much. But, I don't have to pay a house payment of anything since I live in a house on the back of my parents property that I built. So, only bills I have is one car payment, and my utilities, and my car insurance on 2 trucks. Hopefully 1 soon. Then back to 2 when big will gets rollin. Anyway, I don't make too much, I do get paid every two weeks while doing these houses but that gets deducted from what my profit is when the house sells. So if my half of the profit is say 5,000 dollars. And it took 2 months to work on the house and 2 weeks to sell that is 2500 dollars. So, when the house sells it's 5000 minus the 2500 so I only get 2500. It's all good tho, I live paycheck to paycheck. I used to work at Home Depot and I pay myself the exact same every two weeks what I made there every two weeks. Right now I am bidding a Home Theater in a house for a realtor here in town. Her house is 17,000 square feet/wwwthreads_images/icons/shocked.gif. She contacted me and asked me to come out and take a look so I did and I thought I got the wrong address cause it looked like a huge Hotel or something. But anyway, her theater room, is going to be approx. 3000 square feet. Thats double the size of my house. Anyway, she is looking to spend 60-80 thousand bucks on it. And I am getting the job according to her and if I do I will get approx. 10-12k profit which is just too hard for me to think about cause I have never had that much cash before. Hey, I'm only 19. I'll blow it all within a week on the will though./wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

Re: a wee bit O/T the longest post here?

Chevy makes good engines...I have a Chevy engine in my Jeep. It runs great and has never been any trouble for 16 years./wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

The down side????...it is that engine most GM guys love to hate, the 2.8L V-6./wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

Re: a wee bit O/T the longest post here?

Well... I guess I'll tell you guys what I'm lookin to buy my Lil Bro for his first truck. Its gotta be 4WD.
I have a few choices, he will be paying the better end but if I have to I can cover some.
I looked at a 81 Yoat, 350, 350, Twin stick 203, stock axles (8") w/ a Lock-Right in the rear, 4" NWOR all spring lift, 3" body, BRAND NEW 34x9.50 TSL's. Steel flatbed, new paint, bucket seats, MSD 6AL ignition, AC-delco plugs, Blaster coil, High perf. wires, Ramsey 8K winch, JBA Shorty headers, Chevy 4 row radiator. He is asking $3900
Then, there is this:
77 Ford F-150, 400, C6, 205, longbed, new 33" tires, Warn premium hubs, no rust no dents black spoke wheels, new camper shell nice truck $2500
Then he is asking me to sell my truck. I might do it if I like the Yoat or Ford enough. I wanna go look at the Yoat bad. What do you guys think?

I'd take that Yota over the f*rd! Those old solid axle Yotas are damn cool! And even cooler when you put in a Chevy engine/wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif.
