Re: I\'m Thankful for.....

What I am thankful for....... more than I could start to mention. First and above all else I am thankful for my family. The very people who have stood behind me right or wrong. To borrow a quote from Gene Hackman, " Nothing counts so much as blood ".

Re: Eating For Thanksgiving

I reckon we need a new topic! Sooo Any Computer Overclocker's/Case Modder's out there? I have a 900 Mhz AMD Athlon in a Epox 8KHA+ mainboard, Up at 1053 Mhz/wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif. 512 MB's of crucial DDR RAM round out the system. And the Graphics card is not worth mentioning/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif. Here's a pic of my case, Painted it blue a while back, The fan holes have been added over time, And all exept the hole in the back of the case (Not pictured) have 92mm fans mounted. (You can see even more fans waiting for a home in the pic.) Other than that, Any other ideas out there?

Re: Eating For Thanksgiving

My future system (if the damn parts ever get here) will be a 1.4ghz athlon t-bird. Using also 512mb Crucial DDR. The case fans I'll be using will be 120mm. My goal for that thing is to reliably run @ 2.0ghz or higher. I think I'll be talking to a few refrigeration engineers shortly...

Re: Eating For Thanksgiving

hey what's up!?! /wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif i hope you had a good turkey weekend....and that goes for all the boys and girls i so enjoy conversing with on this BBS /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif

i'm thankful for a lot of things - cause well, i could have had so little, but Someone always saw fit to see that i'm ok. first and foremost, i'm thankful that i'm still alive to do the things that i'm on earth here to do. with a broken neck and a violent rollover, there's a very fine line between here and gone - only by a great hand was i kept around.

i'm thankful for all the awesome people that i know and put up with me...that goes for family and friends....

and of course, i'm thankful for my chevy!!!! /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif

snow fun

whats wrong with running around naked in the snow? we rented a condo and we were in the jakuzi, we then dared the one kid to go run out and lay in the snow naked. he ran out, we lockedthe door, and he got a citation for public nudity. oh well life is fun. u can ski, snowboard, slide, all depends what you want to do.

Re: snow fun

people get panicy when it snows down there? florida is funny, they get a dusting of snow and everyone is either hitting cars, sliding across intersections, or calling off work and school.

Re: Eating For Thanksgiving

i remember sometime back in the 80's it snowed real good here in texas. the roads were iced up too and i had a blast trying to ride a bike on the ice. happy happy joy joy!
when you throw yourself on snow, try to remember where the grass starts and the concrete ends!

Re: Eating For Thanksgiving

First of all, what's wrong with Monica running around naked in the snow (or anyplace else)? /wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif /wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif /wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif

Fun stuff to do in the snow. This winter I'm going to try and make it a point to do some actual snow 'wheelin. Try and find some trails, pack some stuff and try and get a Michiganian run together. I hate it, no snow here yet at all. Not even any snow flurries yet. One morning I want to wake up and have 1' of snow on the ground. Fun stuff... Especially since I have to leave for work before most snow plows get out to do their thing... /wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif That would literally be the hilight of my day...

Other than that, since the S truck has a fairly low center of gravity I like taking it out and sliding it around every corner I can find. Low COG helps so I don't roll it if the tires grab while sideways. Wouldn't try that as much with Behemoth...

Re: Eating For Thanksgiving

hitting my favorate trails, last night I had to cahin up just to bust thrrough drifts going up hill, the trucks pretty much useless without them, I can already tell Im going to have buy another set so I chain all four tires, then Ill have one decent snow rig, right now it looks like theres probably a foot or more in the foothills, since it snowed all night, and there was about 6"s when I left. man I cant wait to get back, and float across some powder, ohhh yeah thats what the snowboards for. but the feeling is great.
