I have heard, second hand, about people using Scout II D44's in the rear. I puppose it's possible, but I don't know about getting the coil and other "hangers" to weld on, but that might be a "major mod". Some people have changed out their rear diff, so you might be able to locate one of those. BTW, what happened to the rear end? The pinion bearing loosened on ours (35C) at 48K and screwed up the whole thing. Thankfully we had the extended warranty.
