Took these this morning after replacing my rear lock..well I didn't replace it, I just kinda "fixed it" with a BFG and some paint. Didn't work from the outside to begin with.
Here's the bumper...

And the tire carrier...

And with the spare (yeah I know, paint that rim...)

Looks totally great. I still love those backup lights, too. Remind me, did you wire them into the same circuit as the stock lights? Would the stock light circuit handle it? I want to try and duplicate that really badly, it looks like it totally would work...
How does the bumper do with the tire? Does it move at all?
Nice work...

I wish Rick, if I ever really did I wouldn't raise prices either to be inline with the other places. Some stuff I've built if you figure the time spent I made like $3 hour on but I don't care I like doing it. Plus I know what it's like to not have $800-1000 laying around for bumpers. Total front and rear bumpers I've built? Around 20-23, can't remember to be honest.

The bumper is fastened at the stock mounting locations on the body but if you look in the pic just above the receiver hitch you can see where a piece comes down off the bumper, it bolts to the hitch too. In the pics there's actually only one bolt holding it on. Those hinges from RockStomper are STOUT! Anyone wanting to build their own I would definitely go that route.

Those backup lights I just have wired into a switch up front, use the speaker wires in the hatch since I took them out and that works fine for me. I didn't wire them into the stock lights because they are WAY brighter, and dont want them on during the day and stuff. Suppose you could easily wire them into the stock ones, I probably would run a separate power wire for them (16-14ga) and use a relay though.

AJ,
Looking good buddy. The only thing that Id want changed if I was to buy one is to extend the bumper so it contintues until it reaches the rear of the rear fender flare(like Trail Ready's rear bumper). I hammered my sheetmetal there and I want to hide that and have the protection on the trail. How much would you charge for the rear bumper and tire carrier? I also wanted to know if you ever finished the square tubing front winch bumper. I think you still had to set up the fairlead and winch plate. Pics of any and all of the winch bumpers you have made would be cool. Im thinking that your bumpers might end up on my XJ this summer and I just wanted to get an idea on prices and stuff. I got a well paying summer job in Minnesota and Im looking forward to having some money to spend on the cherokee. IF you do have any more winch bumper pics you can PM me or post them for all to see.

Looks real good and sturdy, hey you ought to buy a bunch of Cherokee's and make the AJ edition with your front bumpers and the rear one with the tire rack all of them painted camo with your roof rack , and the big back up lights that you put on along with the console that you made.

The only thing I could think of to change...

Ditch the towing reciever, and mount the bumper to the reciever mounts, then cut a hole or notch in the bottom of the bumper to allow a reicever to be welded in.

Should improve the departure angle.
