If anyone knows what's going on each of the four days of the Raid and what appx times, would you please post. Looking like I might get on the road to Frisco Tues late afternoon. Praying for good Jeepster karma.

I talked to Wayne and he reported we will be meeting at the Lodge at noon on each day. Planned Schedule of events is:
Friday: Tour of Mining Towns/Parade
Saturday: Show and Shine and Swap Meet
Sunday: Moderate Trail Rides
Monday: Severe Trail Rides

Screw that! What is this Friday parade business? It seems by the majority of posts that people coming from a distance to the raid are arriving Friday sometime late in the afternoon. I suppose that if our wonderful riad planners would listen to popular opinion (government shadow?) it would be planned a bit different. Trail rides should be on Monday just for small groups wasting time, and Saturday the fun begins. A friday parade would produce no more than 10 rigs, not the picture a big organization wants to produce. But what ever, I will not complain, just my above average $.02 of knowledge on the raid.

John, It sure seems you can bitch like hell and run peoples ideas and plans into the ground at their expense. Don't you have more to do than Bitch? It's better to say nothing than open ones mouth and be thought of as a fool.

Just my .02 cents worth

Ah, don't get mad at Hurc. He's just bent out of shape over his WATER PUMP! Last time I enjoyed that particular form of sublime entertainment, I was cussin' too. A couple of days before the Raid is not the time to start ripping each other. It takes a lot of hard work to organize an event, and everybody should be appreciative and supportive.

Have fun at the Raid, y'all. We easterners will all be wishing we were there. Next year, try to sneak that thing a little closer to the Mississippi River, would ya? Then we easterners will all come out and show you western guys what REAL Jeepster Commandos look like!

Why don't we have the trail rides on saturday, and the swap meet sunday. That way when people bust stuff on the trail they can find a replacement part before heading home! By the way, how many jeepsters out there really "shine" for the "show and shine". I know mine was kind of a faded blue....

I'll be camping across the lake at the Lowery Campground. (you luck bastards took all the lake side spots!) If anyone else still needs a spot to camp, let me know, we'll have plenty of room.

On a side note, I was considering bringing my 220V mig welder up there in case anyone had a serious mishap on the trail (along with a bunch of tools). Does anyone not think this is a crazy idea, (besides my jeepchick /wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif)?

See you all Friday

I was not condemning any ideas Jim, just common sense! Like I said, I will not complain, I will let you see and experience for yourself {pictures I guess) , 10 rigs, I doubt any more, if someone would pay attention, you could figure that out for your self. If half the people coming to the raid had not already left yet we could take a poll and you could see that 5% of all the people at the raid are arriving before friday at noon. We will see and then you can see if I was bitchin for a cause or not! Fair Jim?
