Don't get mad don't leave this list. These old dogs will teach you how to work
on that jeep. If you use a open mind they will teach you allot about life.
You think open mind what about them old guys when are they going to open there
minds for a little air. Well they started out like you then have spent a few years watching what the bear does do in the woods. As you have seen these guys
knows what he does there and it is not perty.I remember being twenty and working
on a water works probject in ND after work i go to the bar with these tuff bunch
of old boys that you just as soon your mother did not know about but I learn alot
from them about life. Guess what just happen to be the same stuff my dad told
me.
The nice thing about this Forum is it turns in to a campfire. A offroader's campfire. Here's a glass of tea to you all. cheers./wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

As one of the "younger guys" on the board (20 and counting)... i'd like to readily Agree. There is more knowledge about Jeeps and possibly about life in general on this board than most people will run into in a lifetime. All of that knowledge, the combined insight, and experience... It's truly awesome to think about. I'll be one of the first to admit i've made a mistake or 2 in my time.. have the dents to prove it too (DOH), I wish i had been smart enough to listen to what was being said before hand... Ohh well

to hell with it, lets go wheelin'
G
I might be one of the younger guys too, in many respects, 21 years old, wheeling only 4 years, and only about 60 posts. I like the technical posts as well as the posts about other issues. I think its a great way to learn about different people from different parts of the country, especially since we all have common ground to start on. I think if everyone follows the adage "A mind is like a door, it works best when open" we'd learn more about each other, and possibly ourselves. We just need to maintain that same respect we have for each other on the trail on the computer and we'll be fine....just my thoughts...

Yeah, I'm one of the younger guys too(21 in april), have only been Jeeping as long as I've owned my TJ(2 years, 5 months, 26 days) and have learned more on this forum, than I ever expected. I'm sure if it were possible, with all this knowledge someone could surely get a masters degree in Jeeping. In other words, thanx guys for all you've shown what my young eyes haven't yet had a chance to experience/wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif

the people and info on this BBS are the greatest out there, no doubt.

BUT, someone being older doesnt always mean that ill shut up and just buy off on the ideas they are passing.

I wont even go any farther, ( Im in between, so are you gonna make another post for those of us pushing 30 now?!)
You old guys shouldnt be so quick to jump on a young guy, we all have different opinions, if you cant respect someone else AND the opinion they have then then just grow up..

this is the main thing Ive learned from this BBS ( other than JEEP STUFF) !!

I was wondering where us tweeners fit in ozark. Well said all.

G
Well, im probably one of the youngest here, (18 in April) but I completely agree with everybody. I get more info off here than I could squeeze out of any mechanic in the area. I would just like to say thanks to all you guys who take the time to help me and everybody out with all our questions.

I would just like to throw out a personal THANX, to CJ DAVE. I have loaded this man down with questions
and all he ever does is politely give an answer, and in a quite timely manner. So, for the only person that has
over 1000 helpful posts and counting, that I know of, THANX, I never could have gotten some of the things
on my jeep without your advice. OK, I probably could have but I would have taken a lot more time and
driven me nuts.
THANX

I am the youngest (16). I will admit that I am a dumbass. This board has helped me not show that fact to the world. I know nothing, but I think I can learn everything I need to know from this BBS. I was going to put on HEI, but not now. All of the older guys know their stuff and I will definately listen to them
ed

G
OzarkJeep, Maybe I just hang with the wrong group but as you get older the thicker your skin gets 99% of the time but there is some things that have been a fight in your life that is dear to you that is like a raw wound. Just a word
or two and your ready to go off half cock. (gun word) Think about it, for allot
of us take away my chance to stand on the side of a mountain or the dust of the prairie Or guns to plink or hunt with my family or protect them if need be.
take any or all of that away and I have not much left.

I have a JEEP, 2 jeeps actually!, would anyone like to talk about them?

I also fit into the Young category here. I'm 18 and have had my '89 Wrangler YJ for just over a year. You guys have helped me with mmy bedliner, my carbeurator, and my GM HEI distributor. I've got a lift kit and alxes with all the trimming to stick in them on the way, thanks to insight from this BBS. I just hope that one day I can be giving the good advice as much as I am recieving it!

G
Yeah Im another youngen (18).... I think there is only one thing that
you old farts are good for! Thats buyin us younger studs beer! LOL
Ok Ok ... Im just kidding... You all are the greatest and the heart and
soul of what jeeping is all about. My dads one of you guys and I love the
dumb guy to death.) Well anyways with out you all Id still be paying the
mech down the street to stick his thumb up his a$$. I think an 88 YJ with
an AMC 401 and a HD D44 and D60 about to go in the jeep, it proves that you guys
are useful for something. Ive gotten most if not all of my info off this board
and i wanted to say that you all are great to put up with us ungrateful young
hoodlums...) Oh and Ozark... Are you sure your not bordering over on
the old fogey line? When do i get to see that CJ?
