quick tranny question

seems the t18 is the best tranny to have in a jeep, but somewhat hard to find the right one out of a cj. if i get a gm 151 bellhousing, a ford t18, and a fsj output shaft, and combine all them, will this all bolt up to a chevy sb 350 and a dana 20 transfer case? being a ford tranny, won't it have the regular bolt pattern that the GM 151 bellhousing has? i read at off-road.com that this bellhousing is basically a chevy to ford tranny adapter. don't imagine it could be this simple. i just can't justify spending over $700 cdn for an adapter

Ive heard a T18 can be bolted to a 350 bellhusing if you redrill the bellhousing.

But why not just use a SM465? or SM420? they are easier to find, cheaper and they bolt right to a chevy block!

the key is length, youll need to get a CJ7 for this kind of a setup, CJ5s are too short for anything but a T18 without some ingenious driveshaft mods.
