I am trying to remove my front axle rear spring hangers so I can outboard the springs. The hangers don't appear to be welded around the edges, it looks like their are two big either spot welds or rivets or carriage bolts? The frame is boxed where they are, so I cant see the inside, should I cut these nubs off, and try to pund the suckers off? If not how do I get the things off.

Grind the rivits down, but I can't remember if there is a single stitch weld along it, it should be evident. I removed mine years ago and outboarded them.

Like Jeepn said grind the two rivets down. But the sides are also welded (on my jeep, one side had excellent penetration, the other I didn't even take a grinder too it, I just grabbed my framing hammer and gave a couple of good swings and it came off)
